The city of Apache Junction is beginning the process prescribed in state statutes to update its development fees.
Development fees are paid by developers at the time building permits are issued for new development. The development fees are paid for Police, Streets, Library and Parks and Recreation facilities for infrastructure necessary to accommodate new growth in the community.
This Notice regarding availability for public review of the proposed 2022 Apache Junction City Code, Vol. II, Land Development Code, Chapter 7: Development Fees, is hereby provided pursuant to ARIZ. REV. STAT. § 9-463.05.

On July 5, 2022, the city council will hold a public hearing on the proposed Apache Junction City Code, Volume II, Land Development Code, Chapter 7, Article 7-2, §7-2-1 Street Facilities, Article 7-3, §7-3-1 Police Facilities, Article 7-4, §7-4-1 Parks and Recreational Facilities, and Article 7-5, §7-5-1 Library Facilities Development Fees, Ordinance Amendment (Ordinance #1521).
On August 16, 2022, the city council will hold a public hearing on the adoption of Resolution 22-02 (Adopting Ord. #1521 by reference) and Ordinance #1521 repealing and recreating Apache Junction City Code, Volume II, Land Development Code, Chapter 7 Development Fees.
