Pool Season In Full Swing

APD 2019-websize

The Superstition Shadows Aquatic Center is open for the 2021 season. The pool will be opening with modified programming and limited open swim hours. Open swim hours will be Thursdays 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; Saturdays 1:30-5:30 p.m. and Sundays with extended hours 1:30-7:30 p.m. The fee is $1.50 for youth and $2.50 for adults. Due to the limited amount of open swim hours, we will not be offering pool passes this season. The limitations are due to a lack of staffing. Parks and Recreation continues to recruit lifeguards and water safety instructors and positions are still open.5043-cropped

Please remember when purchasing lifejackets and flotation suits/devices for your kids that you look for the U.S. Coast Guard-approved statement. Non-Coast Guard-approved items will not be allowed in the facility. This includes blow up arm floaties, flotation rings, baby floats etc. To help keep your family safe in and around the water this summer, Parks and Recreation offers swim lessons for ages 6 months and up. Swim lessons are held in the mornings and evenings and are split into two-week sessions with five different sessions being offered during the season. We’ve added a fourth timeframe to evening lessons to accommodate even more participants. If you are unsure of what level your child should be in, register for a free swim assessment. For families with children up to age 5, join us for Read and Rec Poolside on Saturdays, July 10 and August 7 from 9:30-11 a.m.

We will also be providing a variety of fitness opportunities at the pool. Check out a Water Aerobics or Water Tone and Sculpt class or adult lap swim for another great option to exercise at the pool. New this summer is Aqua Zumba. Dance and splash your way to a great workout!

Superstitions Shadows Aquatic Center will also be hosting special events throughout the summer.

Family Swim will be held Friday nights June 4, 11 and 25 from 6-8 p.m.; regular admission applies.

Teen Night is Friday, July 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Admission is $5 and all teens between the ages of 13-17 years old are welcome. Come and participate in a variety of activities including volleyball, open swim, music, games, and competitions! Free pizza and drinks with price of admission.

Dive-In Movies are set for August 14 (Raya and the Last Dragon) and Sept.11 (Onward) at 7:30 p.m. Fee is $3 per person.

Outside food is allowed into the facility in personal sized lunchboxes/coolers. Please no alcohol or glass containers in the facility.

Due to restrictions, all events and programs require pre-registration as space is limited.
