CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION

The Apache Junction Municipal Court has issued Administrative Order 2020-01 IN THE MATTER OF DISPENSING JUSTICE DURING A PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19.  The Administrative Order can be read by clicking here

The Arizona Supreme Court has issued Administrative Order 2021-52 "Authorizing Limitation Of Court Operations During A Public Health Emergency And Transition To Resumption Of Certain Operations" which can be viewed by clicking Arizona Supreme Court Administrative Order 2021-52

The Apache Junction Municipal Court is also following ’’HEALTH SCREENING PROTOCOLS" as described in Administrative Directive 2021-04 which can be viewed by clicking Administrative Directive 2021-04

Due to the concern of the spread of COVID-19 Coronavirus, the Apache Junction Municipal Court is taking precautions to ensure the health and wellness of all court visitors. The Apache Junction Municipal Court remains open to serve the public. Nevertheless, given the current emergency, and in the interest of public safety, certain limitations and changes in court practices are necessary.

ENTRANCE SCREENING:

Screenings will be conducted at the courthouse to determine if any visitor is presenting with symptoms of COVID-19 coronavirus or other communicable disease. The court follows the Arizona Supreme Court Administrative Directive on Health Screening Protocols when determining who may be allowed in the court building.   

LIMITATIONS ON COURT VISITORS:

To comply with recommended social distancing, the court is limiting the number of people being allowed in the building. People appearing that are not a party on a case will not be permitted in the courthouse. The court has a customer service counter (payment/information window) separate from the courthouse portion of the building where customers can receive assistance with court matters that are not on the court calendar.

To see a list of cases currently scheduled for civil appearances, please view the "Court Schedule" page of the website.  The lists are not updated daily; if you resolve your citation or extend your appearance date, your name will still display on that original list until an updated list is posted.  


For CRIMINAL Cases-The court calendar is being monitored daily.  Please review the court calendars posted on the "Court Schedule" page or contact the court to determine the status of your case.

We have limited staff available to answer phone calls during normal business hours.  If we are experiencing a high number of calls, you will have an option to leave a message.  Calls will be returned as soon as possible but no later than the end of the next business day.  You will also have an option to leave a message if calling outside of the regular business hours.
