Halloween season is upon us and the City of Apache Junction Parks and Recreation wants to make your night spook-tacular! While things may look different this year, we are still committed to bringing all the good ghouls and goblins of Apache Junction some treats.
Monster Hunt - Join the Fun!
A NEW addition to this years event is the Monster Scavenger Hunt. There will be numbered 11x17" monsters posted around the City at various businesses and parks. This event will take place from Thursday, 10/29 through Sunday, 11/1. Will you be able to locate all the scary monsters located around town? All Monsters will be posted in a clear and visible place for families to safely spot from their vehicle. There will be a tracking sheet posted on Thursday, 10/29 as well as hints for each numbered monster. Sheets can be turned to AJ Parks & Rec the week of Monday, 11/2 for a Fall themed Rec Bag. Halloween Photo Contests (Best Costume & Pumpkin)
It wouldn’t be a Halloween without our annual costume and pumpkin carving contest. Share with us your best costumes or your pumpkin carving skills on Facebook to our event page for a chance to win prizes. Costumes and pumpkins will be voted on by the community and the winners will win prizes. Both contests will take place virtually online. Pictures can be submitted to email@example.com from 10/23 - 11/1 along with your signed Release Form. On Monday, 11/2, we will be posting the submitted pictures & announcing the winners on 11/9.
