MyGovernmentOnline processes permit applications, plan review, and inspections on-line.

MGO has a very detailed “Customer Help Guide” that you can access by clicking the “HELP” button.
The guide will help you set up your account and show how different functions work.
If you have any issues or questions please call the MGO help line at 1-866-957-3764 and they will assist you in getting an account set up.
Online permitting is different in many ways from paper based systems and the 20 year-old database system we moved from. Like many online apps for shopping and socializing that have user agreements, we have a user “Acknowledgement” that deals with communicating via MGO, handling of digital records, general processing procedures and other information. A signed “Acknowledgement” shall accompany each permit application, you can locate the agreement here.
Online permitting software has encouraged us to create new documents to explain how to make your permit application shine in our system. We have created 11 new “Building Application Guides” explaining the different application types we now have - 19 if you are counting, and which project types go under which applications. Having multiple permit application types helps us tailor the permit questions and plan information needed to process your permit more efficiently.
The Building Application Guides also contain detailed “Required Application Materials Checklist” along with document submittal requirements. The required plan information and materials vary greatly between the many different construction project types we permit. Using the new guides will greatly improve the chances of quick approval of your permit application.

Commercial Kitchen Ventilation Exhaust Systems (Type I Hoods) have an extensive list of requirements and information that must be provided. Several trade and specialties are involved in code compliant hood installation and this guide/checklist provides great assistance in preparing hood plans for submittal.
