Program Overview - What is a Law Enforcement Explorer?
Law Enforcement Career Exploring is open to young men and women ages 14 (and completed the 8th grade) and not yet 21 years old with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of Law Enforcement. The program provides career orientation experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities.The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within law enforcement and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and the nation.

Objectives of Law Enforcement Exploring
- Provide quality Law Enforcement training and experience
- Emphasize the importance of building and maintaining strong community relationships
- Develop responsibilities and leadership skills in all Explorers
- Promote physical fitness practices and standards
- Promote a positive image of Law Enforcement and young adults in our community
- Provide the highest quality applicants to the Law Enforcement profession
- Through this education and high participatory involvement, we hope to develop and build better citizens
- Exploring also builds self-esteem through individual and team efforts, developing pride in ones achievements and in personal appearance

Qualifications
To QUALIFY for the Law Enforcement Explorer program, you must:- Currently enrolled in a high school, college or employed
- Maintain a "C" average
- Have no criminal history
- Be 14-20 years of age
