The Apache Junction Police Department works closely with the community to help reduce crime in Apache Junction. We ask that you report anything that looks suspicious: you have a better idea of what looks suspicious in your neighborhoods than anyone else.
If you have information related to crimes occurring within the city, you can submit an anonymous tip through Citizen Observer.

Community Crime Mapping - a Crime Map for the Public

What is it?  Community Crime Mapping  (http://communitycrimemap.com.) is an online mapping program that shows criminal activity and notifies users of criminal activity in a specific area.  

What does it show?

It shows Arson, Assault, Burglary, Disorderly Conduct, DUI, Fraud, Vehicle Theft, Homicide, Sex Crimes, Theft, Vandalism and other incidents that have occurred in the City of Apache Junction.

How to use it?
Go to website; click on AZ; click on "Apache Junction". For information about an incident, click on the icon. To report information on a specific case, click on "submit an anonymous tip" after clicking the icon.

  • Shows crimes occurring in/around your home.
  • Allows notification via email if crime occurs close to home.
  • Allows citizens to assist the police department in catching criminals by submitting information they may have heard or seen.

On August 6, 1992, the heavily decomposed body of a female was found in the desert area south of US 60 and west of Idaho Road in Apache Junction, Arizona.

ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Most Wanted

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations is seeking assistance in locating fugitives for prosecution. Homeland Security Investigations is responsible for combating a broad range of crimes against the United States and will apply all appropriate means to prosecute those who perpetrate them.

Homeland Security Investigations is vigorously pursuing efforts to apprehend fugitives who are deemed threats to national security.

Below is a link to the ICE Most Wanted fugitives page. ICE is asking your assistance in locating these people. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of the persons listed on their site, you are asked to notify them (contact info on their site) or your local law enforcement agency. Citizens should not approach these folks for safety reasons.

Offender Watch- See the Sex Offenders living in your area

This link will connect you to the Offender Watch program which monitors and tracks Sex Offenders within the City of Apache Junction. This site is updated on a daily basis. Citizens having questions regarding offenders can call the Sex Offender Monitoring Unit with the Criminal Investigations Division, Detective Chad Southwick at (480) 474-8582.

Apache Junction Police Department Supports the Arizona Special Olympics
Law Enforcement Torch Run
The Arizona Law Enforcement Torch Run raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics statewide. Click here for more information on this event.
Special Olympics Fuel of Dreams
The Special Olympics Fuel of Dreams event raises money to help fulfill athlete's dreams all year round. During these events, Law Enforcement Officers state wide clean windshields and pump gas to help raise funds and awareness for this organization.
